The fourth section of the El Dorado Trail, the "Trestle Segment", to be opened runs from Forni Road near the intersection with Ray Lawyer Drive to Missouri Flat Road near Walmart. This is a 2.64 mile long, multi use paved trail.

Sections 1-4 complete the El Dorado Trail from the east end of the 1st section at Las Trampas Drive in Camino Heights to the west end of the 3rd section at Oriental Street in El Dorado. Between these two end points there is a "missing" short section on Main Street in downtown Placerville that has not yet been designated as part of the El Dorado Trail.
